The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a rolling mill environment and possess strong mechanical engineering or metallurgical qualifications. This role is based in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and offers an exciting opportunity to manage and optimize operations in a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations of the hot-rolling unit, post-rolling activities i.e. straightening, cutting, grinding, heat-treatment. etc., ensuring efficient production and quality control.- Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and production staff to achieve production targets.- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize plant capacity.- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the plant.- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all equipment is operating at peak efficiency and plan for preventive maintenance.- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure smooth production flow.- Liaise with the quality assurance department to maintain high-quality standards and address any quality issues promptly.- Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance overall plant efficiency.- Prepare and manage the plants budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy is mandatory.
