Plant Maintenance Engineer Job DescriptionAs a Plant Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in upholding the seamless and efficient operation of our companys plant facilities. Your primary duties will encompass routine maintenance and repairs aimed at preserving our equipment and machinery in their best possible state. 1. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
2. Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to resolve breakdowns and malfunctions promptly.
3. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
4. Collaborate with the production team to plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history records.
6. Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in plant maintenance to enhance efficiency and optimize equipment performance.
8. Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
10. Train and mentor junior maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in plant maintenance.
Plant Maintenance Engineer Required Skills
1. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Plant Maintenance Engineer or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
3. Certification in maintenance-related areas such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) is preferred.
4. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
5. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and standards related to plant maintenance, such as ISO 9001.
6. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
7. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
8. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
