Job Description

Role Overview:As the Principal Product Designer at ClearTrail Technologies, you will play a critical role in shaping and defining the user experience of our innovative data intensive products with large scale data processing products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define and execute design solutions that align with our business goals and meet our clients needs. The users range from novices to highly technical users. The products are available on both SaaS and On-prem.Responsibilities: Lead and strategize product design: As the Principal Product Designer, your primary responsibility will be to lead and drive the strategic direction of product design. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and define design goals. UX/UI design: You will be responsible for creating and delivering exceptional user experiences by designing intuitive. and visually appealing user interfaces. Your designs should seamlessly translate complex user workflows into practical and delightful interactions. Design system development: Develop and maintain scalable design systems, guidelines, and libraries that ensure consistency and quality across all projects. Your designs should align with Impetus Technologies brand and design standards. Team collaboration and mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the design process. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the design team, fostering their growth and skill development. Stakeholder management: Act as a bridge between design teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, managing expectations, and presenting design proposals. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the design process. User research and testing: Conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain insights into user preferences, behavior, and pain points. Apply these insights to iterate and optimize designs effectivelyRequirements: Proven experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role. A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in delivering successful product designs for Data Engineering, ETL, Analytics, DevOps, FinOps, and similar or other relevant domains. Design proficiency: Proficiency in user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. Proficient in UX/UI design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, In Design, Invision or similar tools. Design system expertise: Extensive experience developing and maintaining design systems, including libraries and guidelines, to ensure consistency and scalability. Leadership and collaboration: Proven ability to lead and inspire design teams, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential. User-centric mindset: A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Experience in user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision-making. Technical understanding: A keen interest and understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
