Job Description

AM, Data Engineer In this role, you will be part of a team delivering business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain optimal data pipelines for analytical projects.
  • Working on SAS code migration to Python
  • Build process for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from wide varieties of data sources (e.g. APIs, CSV, Excel, Other databases, etc.) using Python and SQL (Postgress).
  • Work with analysts, data scientists and other partners to assist data related technical requirements and issues.
  • Work with the team to find new technologies, optimal ways that can be included to improve efficiency.
  • Working with client on requirement gathering
  • Working on Snowflake and cloud migration
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client process and policies
  • Responsible to demonstrate capacity for critical thinking and analysis.
  • Responsible to showcase good work ethic, with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger collaborative environment
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications
  • B.E/B.Tech degree or equivalent with a good academic record
  • proficiency in SAS (Advanced concepts and Macros)
  • Vast experience and proficiency in Python and SQL (on a variety of database platforms)
  • Strong hands on Programming and Analytical reasoning
  • Proficiency acquiring, organizing, cleansing and manipulating large amounts of data
  • Ability to think logically and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicating the findings of analysis and propose solutions that addresses the requirements.
Preferred qualifications
  • Expert level in Python coding.
  • Expertise in Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce.
  • Expertise in UNIX, bash shell scripting.
  • Expertise in Spark and Kafka.
  • Production experience on Cloudera Hadoop Distribution.
  • Experience in AWS cloud platform.
  • Hands-On in DevOps tools GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker.
  • Knowledge on SOAP/REST web services.
  • Nice to have Django web application development experience
