Job descriptionRole & responsibilities
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
• Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
• Ensures that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.
• Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
• Supervises plant maintenance personnel.
• Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
• Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
• Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Spare parts planning& cordinates with purchase for timely procurement.
• To ensure m/cs shifting as new layout make them running.
• To ensure proper utilization of m/cs with minmum b/ds& minimum repeated prob.at production shop floor area.
• To ensure optimum functioning of the systems, equipment and machinery to achieve production targets with efficient usage of resources.
• To achieve lowest inventory of spares and consumables.
• To prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Interact closely with Production shop to understand their requirement and plan maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with external vendors and our purchase department regarding quality of spares and consumables as well as timely delivery.
• To co-ordinate with technical support providers i.e. AMC providers.
• Provide subordinates with the required growth opportunities to ensure their development for higher-level roles.
